Super 8 by Wyndham Stevensville/St. Joseph

I stayed with my service dog for a week while visiting family. Staff was quiet and polite. They were mostly responsive to requests as much as they could. My room was decent size and clean, fridge was decent size and microwave worked, tub had a small bit of damage that did not effect use. Hair dryer and iron were fine. TV worked well. Lots of room to walk my dog. Enjoyed being able to have ground floor I could park outside of. Lots of options to eat, purchase gas, and groceries nearby. Decent for the price.

Please don't bring your children here. If you are traveling as a woman alone with your children, I do not advise staying at the location. The man running the facility is very condescending and he does not speak to you unless you are insistent. If you are a man you will be fine. He will work with you. The lobby has a strong negative fragrance. The pool was unusable. Multiple people mentioned the murkiness and the debris floating on the pool. Their solution was to overfill the pool with chemicals and make it unusable. See the flooded pool. The room was a nightmare. Every surface covered in filth. Including the chairs and the beds. The curtains seemed to have blood on them. The lock on the door was broken. I spoke to Expedia, they were unable to help. So I brought in our blankets and pillows and used those for the night. I haven't slept much because of the broken lock. Additionally, the man at the front desk assumed I stole their remote control and wanted to search my room for it. That was when we arrived. I love mom and pop shops because they're clean and safe. People like this man give mom and pops in this country a bad name. He's an awful person and I'm exhausted. At least we made it out alive.

The property lights to the main lobby flickers. The host acknowledged a price increase due to the holiday weekend, access to the beach, and pool. However, the company does accept AAA and they will apply the discount. The host did advise driving to another hotel which was about 50 to 60 miles away. However, I chose to stay considering it was 11:00 PM and sleep was the most important. My takeaway is to ask for an itemize receipt and review the line items for your loyalty discount that you trusted was applied. The room was good. There are some cosmetic issues in the bathroom on the faucets, holes are in the walls in the area where the coffee maker is located, and the air vent in the bathroom requires new covering to fill the gaps. The bed was comfortable and the hotel was quiet.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I stay here for work and the experience was one of the worst I’ve ever had. The motel had bugs all on the floor and wasn’t the cleanest place. When I left for work, I left a necklace on the counter in my room, when I came back from work, the housekeepers had cleaned the room and they took my necklace. I end up calling the police and they came out to do a report for the theft that occurred. Personally, I will not recommend staying at this location. They will steal your property.

SOMEONE TRIED TO ENTER MY ROOM AT 7 AM Made a reservation through Priceline. Front desk person was asleep in the back, waited for 10 minutes at the desk. Room was disgusting but I had no choice but to stay at that hour.
