The breakfast selection was very limited compared to other Springfield hotels that I have stayed at in the past. In addition. the coffee maker broke 3 days prior to my visit and they did know not when it would be fixed. It would have been nice if they gave a voucher to get coffee somewhere else. The thermostat did not work so you had the manually adjust the a/c unit. The bed closest yo the unit was cold but the rest of the room was warmer and humid

This hotel is spacious. The bedding is clean and the firm of the bed is perfectly nice. It makes me sleep well. This hotel is a bit old but it’s good enough. As you know, breakfast is ready, the hot pool is wonderful, above all value for money is great.

They need better customer service. On Saturday evening, January 18, 2025, my son and several other members of our sport organization were trapped on one of the elevators at the Springhill Suites by Marriott Palm Desert for over one hour. There was no ventilation and it was extremely hot. The boys were very afraid and some had panic attacks. Most of the boys removed much of their clothing in attempt to cool off. My son said it was very difficult to breathe. The fire department extracted the boys after one hour. The hotel did not follow up. There was no incident report. They didn't even offer the boys a drink of water. Further, front desk threatened our team manager saying we would have to pay for any costs associated with the fire department and ambulance having to come to the hotel! There was no inspection permit posted in the elevator. I spoke with hotel manager, Myra Moreno, at the earliest opportunity, which was Monday morning at 9am. I asked to see a copy of the elevator inspection permit. Myra told me no. When I asked again, Myra rudely said "no, and I will not be talking to you again" and walked away. I am considering hiring a lawyer. I need someone from Marriott Corporate to call me ASAP. (Posting on behalf) Do Better!

I called this location 2x before checking in because I had to ensure a request was taken care of (we were traveling with our 90 yr old mom and needed our rooms together) The second time I called- on the day of check in, the phone was answered with the following words “hey, how you doing?” And then the person I spoke to told me my request was impossible. My reservation was non refundable at this point, I had gotten the assurances I needed when it was still refundable. So I was stuck. Fortunately I was able to call Bonvoy and get this problem addressed. Little did we know, it was going to get worse. Our room had a broken HVAC system. It rattled noisily and when we turned to turn it off and we couldn’t. We called for maintenance assistance but never received any. We called again. Again nothing. We went to the lobby, where we could find no one at the desk. We ended up not sleeping the entire night. At 7am the next morning we went back to the desk, still no one. At 9am we spoke to the GM, whose reply was, that’s too bad. So my conclusion is great location that doesn’t have to worry about customers, maintenance or anything, because it just doesn’t matter to them.

Nice hotel and staff. No problems with our stay. Breakfast was the normal free hotel breakfast, which was good and filling. The pool and hot tub were clean and nice. Large pool area to relax. The room was clean and spacious. Plenty of parking. Close to many stores and restaurants.
