The two weekend front desk staff (both women) were miserable. I came up to one of them and told them I could smell cigarette smoke coming through my bathroom fan and she just kept playing on her phone. The other lady picked up her phone and started calling someone. I had to ask if she was dealing with my issue and she said she was. The second time I dealt with them was on Sunday and I told them there was dog poo on the rug at the entry and neither even looked up at me to let me know they heard me. These two need to be fired and someone nice and welcoming should replace them. The room was very nice. The bathroom was great. The bed was HARD. My back will feel broken for a while after sleeping on that. The A/C doesn't go below 70, even if you change the temp to 65. The breakfast was super nice, but don't try to talk to the weekend lady who puts it on because she doesn't speak English. I asked her if us sitting there (after hours) was impeding her progress of cleaning up, and her response was "India". So, she clearly didn't understand what we were saying. The room across from me had a dog. Every time I came up to my door, he/she would bark. Thankfully, I didn't hear it barking inside my room. I'd stay there again, but the staff just isn't the right choice for this location. The location is great. Very close to just about everything you'd want or need. Parking was adequate and the handicapped room my father stayed in was great.

There are far better choices out there than this place. The staff was very friendly but the facility is dreadful. We were warned of limited channel availability on our TV, in our room there weren't any channels working. And it is an old "dumb" TV. I tried calling the front desk but the in-room phone didn't work. I had to use my cell phone to call the front desk to be told "They are working on it." Our "bathroom " sink didn't have any cold water. The sink is actually in the room. The attendant in the breakfast room didn't speak English. She made motions and smiled. She uttered a few words , making it awkward when we requested that she clean the tables. I asked for a discount for my room troubles and was told the general manager would contact me. I'm still waiting.

Good place to stay really close to everything we wanted to go do. The ladies on the front desk were lovely and professional as well as the lady taking care of breakfast. Will definitely stay here again.

It's clearly a very outdated hotel privately owned by those Patels, they just hired a lady to be the manager but they are very crafty but if for some reason you decide to book w/ then be sure and use a prepaid cc and not your personal one or anything connected to your bank bc if there are any disputes or billing concerns they will draft the amount from your account and you'll spend a gd portion of your time trying to get it bck, and most ppl exhaust their attempts and leave it which is what they want. The hotel features stained bathroom walls and outdated microwaves and refrigerators, with no fitness center on the premises. On a positive note, pets are allowed, though a $30 fee per night plus tax is required for their stay, and the legality of this charge may be questionable. The hotel is privately owned, not a corporate proprietor, which may account for the additional fees. Coaches may want to think twice before booking their teams here. There are indications that the front desk staff may not be very welcoming. There is no shuttle service to the historic area of Charleston, which is quite a distant. ITS A 'PATELS' OWNERSHIP THEY ALSO HAVE A ROOM ON PROPERTY AND HE CLAIMS OF CERTAIN FIXES, HE LIES CONSTANTLY, I MEAN CONSTANTLY ABOUT EVERYTHING.

Starting with the good: the room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Now the bad: the front desk staff was awful . One morning there was no breakfast ready on time and the lady working was so rude about it. She said the person who was supposed to prepare breakfast didn't show up for work . She was clearly agitated about it. So unprofessional. The pool was filthy. Full of leaves . There were no towels at the poolside to use. I've never had a bad experience with a sleep Inn. I was so disappointed.
